well ...now we have to be careful here.. DICE isnt exactly DICE as we knew it in the DC days..that made the luvverly DC...then the offcuts finishing it off with DC_Final...just for fun...and what a polish DC Final was.

Then "DICE" "making" bf2...then the orig team beign dumped...what happenhd to them/? 
Ahh yeas...we foudn them reemerge with FRONTLINES FUEL OF WAR..absolutley AWESOME game...but a bit flawed...and not pobviously funded to finish it off or markety it or pimp it....damn didnt hear of it till a year after it was out...!

NO NO NMO../they are KAOS studios now...just looked it up.  DICE is now the remnants of the orig DC team....(i tghinkthey just bought them out , the name, and the tech...and dumped them.....not to say they didnt do well )



I just hope its not just "more of the same!" and RANKING SHIT..or if so..at least the COD 4 model...

The game is scheduled for release this summer with an expected price point between $15 to $20. The download size of the game will be around 350MB

Unlike previous Battlefield games, Pacific only has three unit classes: Infantry, Riflemen, and Scout. Gone are the Medics and Heavy weapons classes. Van dyke explained they wanted every class to be able to fight in every situation. Every class has weapons to fight against the biggest tanks and armor.

Also, players have auto-health and unlimited ammo.

I suspect ehavily that this will be a modular release..Ie you will pay for the initial base "package" and then get raped for every little add on....just loike the Wii  :p

People on forums are crying that the consoles have diluted the franchise.  they've taken ideas from Bad Company & the free 'Battlefield Heroes' and made a "casual game".

everyone wants BF3. but EA have said nothing on it and have just announced Bad Company 2. for consoles and PC.  bastards !  

The extra Modules for 1943 havent been announced, seems they are awaiting sales before doing anything with them.

I would pretty much agree with that.

Of course, the main concern on their part is revenue stream.



However, if EA wont sponser the "next 1942", and considering how ground breaking that was at the time, ( although it did feel loike a watered down OFp for me :p ), surely the field is clear for some enterprising game devs to fill the hole that EA wishes not to fill.

They need to GIVE UP trying to make the PC yet another games console, because its not, and never has  been, thats the point they are missing. If we wanted to have all the restrictions and rip offs that come from console gaming, lose all flexibility in modding and mapping, then we would have gotten a console!!

PC gamers are nto going to bend over and eventually say, ah fuck it....shag me up the arse again..I dont care, they are just goping to lose interest full stop and just can it...and go play WOW or Poker or some other shit.!

Sorry to disappoint you guys but rumour is that 1943 is not gonna be released on the pc :( They are concentrating on BF3 (which could be even better for us)
